We capped off the evening at the Bissap Cafe - an AMAZING restaurant in the main port/shopping area of Mopti. Great food, fabulous atmosphere and genial service as one restaurant reviewer (PAPER PADDY) noted in her review.

Kim, Paul en ik komen net terug uit Mopti, waar we in restaurant Bissap hebben gegeten ter ere van het feit dat ik over twee dagen twee jaar in Sévaré ben.(...) We hebben heerlijk gegeten, ook dat kan hier heel goed. Vooraf een schotel capitaine fumé (gerookte rauwe! vis uit de Niger, op z'n Japans) in citroen en olie, onwaarschijnlijk lekker en een pizza als hoofdgerecht, ook niet mis. Dank voor deze feestelijke avond.

This restaurant has it all - great atmosphere, friendly, professional staff and fantastic food. My brother, sister in law, and I ate here on our way to Pays Dogon two weeks back. My sister in law noticed the Bissap Cafe from our boat ride around the harbor and suggested it for dinner. The location is right on the water front and not that picturesque however once inside the walls, you are in a different world. The food is great - we tried the pizza, Spaghetti bolognaise and Yassa. Their prices were also very good for the quality and quantity of food. The service was also very good and in terms of all the other places I have been in Mali, the most friendly and informative. Would recommend without hesitation.

(...) Terwijl Paul en Kim de laatste maaltijd met Amatigue gebruiken, doen wij dat met Baba in het restaurant Bissap. Bier, pizza's en gezelligheid. We zijn tot mijn verbazing de enige gasten. (...)
